Sazerac Presents Drink Recipes from El Toro Tequila.
Introduction
Founded by Spaniards in 1530, Tlaquepaque (tlah-keh'PAH-keh), located just southeast of downtown Guadalajara, Mexico, was once a village of potters. Later, in the 1800's, wealthy Mexican families made Tlaquepaque the location of their country homes. Today, tourists flock to the village to view the work of artisans, from potters to glass blowers, leather and metal crafters and wood carvers.
Acapulco, a populous tropical city, is a famous beach destination for tourists in Mexico. A new superhighway connecting it with Mexico City makes it a prime spot for vacationers from that city as well. The city is full of lush green hillsides, while the bay is lined by high-rise hotels.
During the day, most tourists to the city relax at the beach or pool or shop for crafts from nearby Taxco. Nearby La Quebrada offers world-famous cliff diving. Acapulco is also known for its nightlife, and most visitors spend the evenings out to dinner and dancing.
